How we look after you

Adults only

GoBoyfriend is strictly 18 and over. Sign-up asks for your date of birth and confirmation that you are an adult.

Help when it matters

If a conversation suggests someone may be at risk, we surface crisis resources for their region instead of carrying on as normal.

Moderation

Messages, replies and attachments are checked against our content rules.

Report and block

Report or block any companion message from inside the chat.

Honest about being AI

Companions remind you that they are AI, not a person.

Leave whenever you want

Delete your account from Settings. You have 30 days to change your mind, then it is gone for good.

Your conversations

Your conversations are tied to your account and we never sell them. To provide the service they are processed by our AI providers, and they may be reviewed for safety and moderation. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

What GoBoyfriend is not

Not therapy, not a medical or crisis service, and not a substitute for professional care. If someone is in danger we surface crisis resources rather than continue the conversation.

Questions people ask

Is GoBoyfriend for adults only?

Yes. GoBoyfriend is strictly for adults 18 and over.

What happens if I delete my account?

Your account is scheduled for deletion and permanently removed after 30 days. During that window you can log back in and cancel to restore everything. After 30 days it is gone for good.

Can a companion replace professional help?

No. Companions can be a supportive space to think, but they are not therapy or a crisis service. If you are in danger, contact your local emergency number.
